Inspired by a timeless Scandinavian Modern meets traditional Barber Shop aesthetic, our finish & material palette evokes a luxurious representation of the Sharp’s brand. Beginning with the flooring, our design presents a beautiful white oak wood herringbone floor pattern and a perimeter detail of stone mosaic tile. In contrast, classic found barber chairs were upholstered in an incredibly luxurious tobacco colored leather.

Coupled with the flooring, the slatted wood ceiling with integrated lighting marries with the wood slats. The wood ceiling system is finished in a dark, Saranté Sable walnut. Additional oiled walnut wood storage was installed around the perimeter ceiling line, providing necessary storage needs as required. Accessibility to these cabinets consists of a rolling/telescopic library ladder, constructed of brushed stainless steel.

Installed at the top of the base cabinetry, a white solid surface countertop emulates white Calacatta marble with richly colored, natural veining. Mirrors framed and finished in gun-blued steel provide a visual connection to the remainder of the barber shop. LED TV’s were integrated within the mirror for a seamless installation, providing entertainment to patrons. Thin, stylish LED panel pendant lighting will be installed above each barber chair. These fixtures provide both modern beauty as well as functional lighting for barbering. The back wall surface includes a signature “Exploded Barber Pole” graphic feature, interpreted in muted soft blue and white paint.
