On November 9, 2021, CASCO took part of a groundbreaking ceremony for a Multi-Family Housing project called Penn Street Place in North Liberty, IA. CASCO along with our sister companies, R|5 and FACET, are currently providing the architectural services and interior design for this project. According to Brandon Pratt from Lion Development Group, this is a development that will address the need for high end apartment living within this North Liberty Corridor. They plan on building a four story, 52-unit apartment building that will include 34 two-bedroom units and 18 one-bedroom units. These units will be furnished with solid surface countertops along with washers and dryers. The apartments will be located in an ideal location near the Liberty Center Lake, walking trails, various retail locations, childcare facilities, and so much more. The hope is that this location will allow North Liberty to grow and increase their revenue within the heart of their city.
Currently, the projected timeline for this project is to be constructed within 12 to 14 months, depending on how well the weather stands during the coming winter. Once this project is completed, the second phase will begin with the construction of a 4,500-square-foot commercial building. There will be a shared parking lot that will connect Penn Street Place, the commercial building, and Tin Roost that is co-owned by Mr. Pratt.
There is a possibility of additional developments and opportunities for 2023.
