Designed to complement the expansive views of downtown St. Louis, Cinder House’s design is a timeless, modern interior deeply rooted in South American and European aesthetics. Dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, allow guests to gaze at the city’s celebrated monuments, including the Gateway Arch, Mississippi Riverfront, Ead’s Bridge and Laclede Landing.
Upon entering Cinder House, guests are greeted to a warm and atmospheric lobby, which provides a glimpse into the restaurant’s bar-lounge area through artisan constructed dark oak screens comprised of a variety of linen fabrics inserted into laminated glass. The oak and brass Entry Portal reveals a custom designed stone and wood host desk, as well as a backdrop for the brand identity. Immediately inside is a handcrafted credenza of American Black Walnut, bleached then ebonized and oiled. The painstaking finish technique was selected as a reference to the Chef’s commitment to culinary excellence referring to charred wood from the grill.
